Ingredients

Frangipane:

  • 15 g Almond Flour (Natureโ€™s Eats)
  • 15 g All-Purpose Flour (King Arthur)
  • 15 g Unflavored Protein Powder (Isopure)
  • 24 g Zero Calorie Sweetener (H-E-B)
  • ยฝ tsp Almond Extract
  • ยฝ tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 7 g Light Butter (Smart Balance)
  • 1 Large Brown Egg (Vital Farms)

Toast:

  • 3 slices Seeded Protein Bread (Higher Harvest by H-E-B)
  • 8 g Sliced Almonds (Fisher)
  • Powdered Sugar (Whole Foods)

Instructions

Frangipane:

  • Add all your ingredients together into a mixing bowl. Mix together until nice and smooth. It shouldnโ€™t be too runny and more of a paste like consistency.
    15 g (2 tbsp) Almond Flour, 15 g (2 tbsp) All-Purpose Flour, 15 g (2 tbsp) Unflavored Protein Powder, 24 g (1.5 tbsp) Zero Calorie Sweetener, 1/2 tsp Almond Extract, 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract, 7 g (0.5 tbsp) Light Butter, 1 Large Brown Egg

Toast:

  • Grab your slices of bread and press down the center to create a โ€œwellโ€. Add equal amounts of your almond cream to each slice. Spread evenly.
    3 slices Seeded Protein Bread
  • Top them all with sliced almonds.
    8 g (1 tbsp) Sliced Almonds
  • Air fry at 325ยฐ for 8-10 minutes. Ensure the middle is all the way cooked by using the toothpick method.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar, cut in half, and enjoy!
