Chocolate Hazelnut Stuffed French Toast
Ingredients
Sandwich:
- 6 slices Low Carb Seeded Bread (Higher Harvest by H-E-B)
- 56 g Oat Milk Chocolate Hazelnut Butter Spread (Fine & Raw)
French Toast Mixture:
- 1 Large Brown Egg (Vital Farms)
- 60 ml Plant Protein Milk (Good Karma)
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 20 g Unflavored Whey Protein Powder (optional (Isopure))
Toppings:
- 5 g Fat Free Whipped Cream
- 2 Large Strawberry (sliced)
- 5 g Powdered Sugar
- 30 ml Sugar Free Syrup (Mrs Buttersworth)
Instructions
Sandwich:
- Grab a slice of bread and press down the center with the back of a spoon. Fill the middle with 1/4th of your favorite hazelnut spread. Layer with another slice and add another 1/4th spread to the center.6 slices Low Carb Seeded Bread, 56 g (0.25 cups) Oat Milk Chocolate Hazelnut Butter Spread
- Enclose it with your 3rd slice and you have one sandwich made! Repeat for the second serving.
French Toast Mixture:
- In a dish, add in your egg, milk, and vanilla. Whisk together until smooth.1 Large Brown Egg, 60 ml (0.25 cups) Plant Protein Milk, 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Add in the protein powder if using. Whisk for a good minute or two until evenly incorporated and minimal lumps are left.20 g (3 tbsp) Unflavored Whey Protein Powder
- Dip your sandwich in the mixture, ensuring each side is coated well. Add to a parchment lined baking sheet. Repeat for the second.
- Air fry at 350° for 10 minutes, flipping it over halfway.
- If you have any mixture left, I like to just cook it in a pan like scrambled eggs and add to my French toast at the end to ensure nothing is wasted.
