Imagine biting into a thick slice of bread, only to discover a warm, melted chocolate hazelnut center. Itโ€™s like dessert for breakfast, but better because itโ€™s packed with 30g of protein! Yes, you read that rightโ€”this is not just any French toast; itโ€™s a high-protein powerhouse that will keep you fueled and satisfied.

If youโ€™re a fan of Nutella stuffed French toast, this is a game changer. The secret? An air fryer! No need to stand over a hot stove; just dip your stuffed sandwich into the easy French toast mixture, pop it into the air fryer, and let it work its magic. The result is a perfectly golden and crispy exterior, with a luxuriously soft and gooey chocolate hazelnut center.

And donโ€™t forget the toppings. Fresh strawberry slices, a dollop of whipped cream, and a dusting of powdered sugar elevate this dish to a whole new level. Itโ€™s a flavor explosion that pairs perfectly with the nutty richness of the hazelnut spread.

So, whether youโ€™re making breakfast for yourself or treating someone special, this chocolate hazelnut stuffed French toast is a surefire way to impress. Itโ€™s quick, itโ€™s easy, and itโ€™s going to be your new favorite brunch obsession.

Instructions

Sandwich:

  • Grab a slice of bread and press down the center with the back of a spoon. Fill the middle with 1/4th of your favorite hazelnut spread. Layer with another slice and add another 1/4th spread to the center.
6 slices Low Carb Seeded Bread, 56 g (0.25 cups) Oat Milk Chocolate Hazelnut Butter Spread
  • Enclose it with your 3rd slice and you have one sandwich made! Repeat for the second serving.

French Toast Mixture:

  • In a dish, add in your egg, milk, and vanilla. Whisk together until smooth.
1 Large Brown Egg, 60 ml (0.25 cups) Plant Protein Milk, 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • Add in the protein powder if using. Whisk for a good minute or two until evenly incorporated and minimal lumps are left.
20 g (3 tbsp) Unflavored Whey Protein Powder
  • Dip your sandwich in the mixture, ensuring each side is coated well. Add to a parchment lined baking sheet. Repeat for the second.
  • Air fry at 350ยฐ for 10 minutes, flipping it over halfway.
  • If you have any mixture left, I like to just cook it in a pan like scrambled eggs and add to my French toast at the end to ensure nothing is wasted.

Toppings:

  • Once your toast is ready, add all your favorite toppings. Cut in half and enjoy!
5 g (1 tbsp) Fat Free Whipped Cream, 2 Large Strawberry, 5 g (2.5 tsp) Powdered Sugar, 30 ml (2 tbsp) Sugar Free Syrup
